What Parents Say:
The tenets of the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy involve teaching those who attend the programs the values of perseverance, honor, integrity and self control. I have seen the Bennett's instill this lifestyle in many young people who attend their programs. Three of my sons have taken these programs and are different young men because of the sincere and personal efforts of the Bennett family. After seeing the friendships and successes of their programs, my wife and I recently joined as well.

This is a place where you earn your way, supported by an instructor team who sincerely cares for each and every student. They take students who don't believe they can accomplish their goals and not only encourage them to set goals, but show them how to succeed in attaining their goals and are there for them every step along the way as they help them to succeed. Their programs aren't easy! You must work hard to attain success and push yourself to your upper limits, but in the end you will know you are capable of much more than what you believed you were, and in the end, that's what it's all about.

Cloverdale Black Belt Academy is a business, but what makes it truly different is that it is operated by a family who sincerely care about the families who attend their programs and who encourage today's youth to be better. The leadership programs offered also develop youth and prepare them to be future leaders who set positive role models.

If you have ever wondered what the martial arts is all about and never taken the opportunity to attend a class I strongly recommend that you drop in and take the time to see what these programs can do for you and your family. They truly are making the world a better place, one black belt at a time, starting with our own community.

My 8 year old son and I have been members of the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy under Karen and Dave Bennett for over a year now. The experience has been incredible as Karen and Dave have created a wonderful family friendly atmosphere which is exactly what we were looking for. At the same time I recommend the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy to all of my fellow police officers interested in martial arts as their professionalism and standards would exceed the highest of expectations.

I highly recommend the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy and Mr and Mrs Bennett
as a business and business owners worthy of outstanding recognition.
The Bennetts are both talented in the sport of taekwondo (Canadian Champions) and gifted in their ability to teach and train each of their students to their highest potential. Students range from 4 - 50 years of age and needs and abilities range wide - yet every one is treated on an individual basis and encouraged in such a positive, fun safe environment to be the best they can be.
On top of their own talent in the sport, the Bennetts business attributes are amazing. They are constantly striving to improve, and their attention to detail is always a high priority. Business ethics of integrity, honesty, loyalty and dedication can only be described as "above and beyond".
From a community perspective, the Bennetts have promoted a "leadership program" within the school to foster a group of mostly young people (teens). Within this program the Bennetts teach them how to be leaders. They are given the opportunity to help in other classes as assistants and role models. The hours the kids participate in the program are on a volunteer basis, over and above their normal training - and time they are all happily participating in because the fun and benefits are so huge to them. Both of my sons participate in this program and the skills they have learned all ready are truly "life skills". The program has also introduced them to a circle of friends that now extends beyond the time at the academy. A group of morally like minded, motivated, goal oriented, fun teens.
Our entire family has joined the Bennetts academy and we each consider it an opportunity and privilege we are proud to be part of.

The Cloverdale Black Belt Academy (CBBA), under the ownership and direction of Mr. David Bennett and Mrs. Karen Bennett is a truly family oriented cornerstone of our small community. CBBA has served to draw both youth and adults together in an atmosphere of friendship and fun to produce skilled martial artists and improved fitness for its members. I and my two sons, (Sean and Kyle) all enjoy the expert training and the camaraderie of the club and have benefited with improved fitness and performance at work, school, and home. The club has grown from modest beginnings to over 100 members who all have similar experiences and have been touched for the better in some way.

I believe the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy is well deserving of recognition for their business excellence. The Owners combination of management skills, and determination to deliver an excellent product have put them in the forefront of their service industry.

In the short time their business has been open they have already brought more recognition to the City of Surrey for success in the martial arts sport then has any other club. They have developed numerous Canadian National Champions and consistently send the largest contingent of participants to represent Surrey (and B.C.) to tournaments throughout the United States. In short North America knows about and recognizes the Cloverdale Black Belt Academy from Surrey, it would only be fitting if our City did as well.

One of their motto's is making the world a better place one black belt at a time and they certainly have made a good start in Surrey as their students reflect what being a good citizen is all about in terms of courtesy and respect for others.

I want to thank you for allowing my sons and myself an excellent environment for Taekwondo.
You have created an environment where achievement is honoured. This was evident when you let us know that although one of our sons had worked hard he was not ready to pass on to the next belt level. As parents new to the Martial arts we had no idea how serious your commitment to Taekwondo was. You understood that by holding back a child he may decide not to go on and that you could lose a student.

Fortunately our son rose to the occasion and earned his new belt at the next testing. He now understands the importance of trying as hard as he can in all areas of life.

Thank you for all the time you put into making sure all your students, young and old, are challenged and are ready to succeed!

The instructors at Cloverdale Black Belt Academy are all about their students, encouraging them to go beyond their limits, and supporting them in their endeavors. Full of spirit, wisdom, character, honor, integrity, and much, much more... Mr. and Mrs. Bennett naturally instill these traits in their students. This is evident when you walk in and see a class practically running itself because their love for TaeKwonDo is passed on to even the youngest student creating an atmosphere of warmth and fellowship wrapped up in a positive, ever encouraging atmosphere. The number of lives Mr. and Mrs. Bennett have influenced already is vast... and the number of lives they will continue to influence in the future is awe inspiring.
